David Turton

Photographer David Turton has been capturing images of the Jersey Shore with his unique, artist’s eye for decades, and his photographs grace the homes of thousands of shore residents and visitors.

A lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore, David Turton realized at an early age that he had a talent for seeing beauty in places that others overlooked. With camera in hand, David would wander the beaches, sidewalks and roads of coastal towns like Bay Head, Point Pleasant Beach, Manasquan and Spring Lake, snapping away until he found the photo that so perfectly captures the sense of place. He has a flair for creating images that dazzle and captivate.

He has been established as a real estate photographer as well, shooting the interior and exterior of residential homes and commercial properties. David also creates unique individual and family portraits, as well as invitations, calendars, mouse pads and greeting cards.

In past years, David's photographs have been recognized and published by top organizations from around the globe, some include: The New York Times Homes Magazine, American Red Cross, New Balance, and local businesses. In 2008, the Asbury Park Press Reader's Choice issue ranked David in the top three for "Best Photographer" and "Best Art Gallery" in Ocean County, NJ. In 2009, they named him "Best Photographer" in Ocean County. He was also awarded 1st place for "Best Artist" at the Point Pleasant Seafood Festival in 2005.

David’s photo collections of the Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy have been compiled into two books printed by Jersey Shore publications. Aftermath – Images of Superstorm Sandy at The Jersey Shore Vol. 1 Ocean County, and Vol. II Monmouth County are both available in our gallery at Jersey Shore Moments.
